Refund Policy
Effective date: May 12, 2025
1. Overview
designspilot (“we”, “our”, or “us”) offers AI-powered UI design generation on a subscription basis. All payments are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Limited), our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, tax collection, and refund disbursements on our behalf.
2. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings page. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.
- You will not be charged again after the current billing period ends.
- Your account will revert to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. Generated projects and saved data are retained.
3. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds in the following circumstances:
- 14-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your first subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial payment. This applies to first-time subscribers only.
- Service outage: If designspilot experiences a documented service outage exceeding 24 consecutive hours, you may request a pro-rated credit or refund for the affected period.
- Duplicate charges: If you are charged more than once for the same billing period due to a billing error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
- Statutory rights: Where required by applicable law (including EU/UK consumer protection regulations), you may be entitled to a refund regardless of these conditions.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not provided in the following situations:
- Renewals after the initial 14-day period.
- Partial billing periods — if you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the period ends but are not refunded for unused days.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Service.
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output quality, provided the service is functioning as described.
- Credit purchases or one-time top-ups that have been fully consumed.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email us at hi@designspilot.com with:
- The email address associated with your designspilot account.
- Your Paddle order or transaction ID (found in your billing confirmation email).
- A brief description of the reason for your refund request.
We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Unresolved chargebacks may result in suspension of your account. We are always happy to work with you to resolve billing issues quickly and fairly.
